entrepreneur, strategic designer, innovator

Alexandra Ballensweig has 10+ years of experience in human-centered strategic design and innovation across their career as a Founder, Strategic Designer and Product Manager. Alexandra’s work lives at the intersection of human connection, personal transformation, and innovation. Their creative process is an exploration in the space between method and mystery—bringing their training in Reiki Energy Healing, Kundalini Yoga, and Meditation into their leadership style, and creative process.

Alexandra is the founder of humhuma platform and community that fosters healthier dating experiences and authentic connection through mindful guided blind dates, group events, and coaching online.

Prior to founding humhum, Alexandra worked for 5 years at BCG Digital Ventures as a Senior Strategic Designer and Product Manager. They worked with Fortune 500 companies on corporate ventures across a range of industries spanning fashion retail, renewable energy, financial technology, networking hardware, real estate and management consulting

Alexandra left BCGDV to join Holisticism, an LA based holistic wellness startup, as a full-time product advisor and first team member. Their contributions helped the startup launch an MVP, convert 30% of their practitioner community to paying subscribers, and get accepted into two pre-accelerators. They later moved to NY and consulted for Mixily, an event tech start-up where they helped increase revenue up by 30% through product and customer acquisition strategy.

Alexandra sees design-thinking as an approach to problem-solving that can be applied to creative projects, relationships, and everyday living. Alexandra actively iterates on their approach to living and working—valuing deliberation, and also spaciousness, to welcome the unforeseeable magic that shows up when you get to work on your vision.
